Doshi, MD Dr. He remains active in the investigation of catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation AF , participating in multiple trials and leading the research in novel approaches for this disease, including the AMAZE trial and Vein of Marshall Study looking at left atrial appendage LAA ligation and ethanol ablation for AF. Doshi is actively involved in all forms of LAA occlusion or exclusion, participating in several different trials.
Doshi also is actively involved in heart failure therapy and is leading the investigation of the relationship of hemodynamic sensors and arrhythmia onset and burden. Currently he is involved with over a dozen different clinical trials encompassing all areas of implantable device and ablation therapy. Leonardo C. Clavijo is Principal Investigator of the Same Day Discharge study, an investigator-initiated study sponsored by Abbott. The purpose of this study is to compare the strategies, outcomes and complication rates of early same day versus delayed day after the procedure hospital discharge in patients undergoing single and multi-vessel stenting of types A, B and C lesions.
Saxon, MD Dr. Collaborating with the CVTI and the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the CBC is conducting feasibility studies with state-of-the-art devices that can wirelessly monitor patients remotely, in addition to creating social networks, mobile apps and virtual care providers to help extend the reach of the CVTI cardiovascular specialists to our patient populations locally, and one day, nationally.
