Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.
The Priority of Training Men (2 Timothy 2:1-2)
Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous that is, an idolater , has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
The Lord knows the days of the blameless, and their heritage will remain forever;.
According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.
For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect. Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain.
Shepherd Strong Living 1 & 2 Timothy paperback
Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. A Song of Ascents. Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction.
And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come. God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
Who shall bring any charge against God's elect?
It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Who wrote the book?
Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians. I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen.
And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
For behold, on the stone that I have set before Joshua, on a single stone with seven eyes, I will engrave its inscription, declares the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day. On that day, declares the Lord of hosts, I will take you, O Zerubbabel my servant, the son of Shealtiel, declares the Lord , and make you like a signet ring, for I have chosen you, declares the Lord of hosts.
You shall leave your name to my chosen for a curse, and the Lord God will put you to death, but his servants he will call by another name. We have become like those over whom you have never ruled, like those who are not called by your name. What will one answer the messengers of the nation? O you who love the Lord , hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain,.

Nahum The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him. John My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Colossians Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
Galatians But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more?

Paul had committed everything to Jesus - his life, his body, his character and reputation, his life's work, everything that was precious.
What do you need to commit to Him? Everything that is precious! That Day. What day? They lived in such awareness of that day, they did not even need to identify it. That Day was enough.
